There is no commandment greater than these. The question that remains is, “who is my neighbor?” Read the rest of this entry »

Intimacy is not just sex. The type of Intimacy that I am speaking in reference to is the whole sexual experience between husband and wife. This can start with a simple look, email, text message, phone call or whatever. It most likely ends with falling asleep in the arms of your spouse.

Unlike women, most men don’t get a ton of women trying to get at them on a daily basis. So when a man senses a woman is trying to come on to him, the initial reaction may not be the real reaction. Today is the first day of Black History Month. This is the perfect time of the year to learn some facts about what some of the great people in our past have done to make the world better. Yes these were great people and they have done a lot for our country, but I am talking about people like Lewis Latimore or Sarah Boone. Have you ever had someone tell what you should be doing with your life? Better yet, have you had someone insist that the things they say are what’s best for you? I have on plenty occasions tell me what I should be doing with my life. How I should raise my children, who I should spend my time with or even how I should handle my finances. I am very open-minded, so I do hear and listen to what people have to say. I especially listen to those that are living out what they are advising me to do. But there are those that are so quick to tell you what you need to be doing, but are not doing it themselves. These are the ones living like the Pharisees. Read the rest of this entry »

Friday January 29th at 3:42pm I posted a blog on my site called “Can You Live Out Your Dreams?” At 3:48 pm the same day I received a blog submission from a guest blogger “Kia” called live your life. You have probably read Kia’s prior entry “Happy New Year” which she explains how you should be willing to make a resolution any day of the year, not just January 1st. The irony of this is how similar my blog I published January 29th is to the one she submitted 6 minutes later. I have four words; great minds think alike.

Some of us have dreams to hit the Lotto for millions and be rich to do whatever we want to for the rest of our lives. Some of our dreams are simply to have everything we need without having the need for anything for anything more than that. The rest of us, most likely our dreams fall somewhere in between.

Over the next couple of weeks I will conduct interviews with many people that have ties to our community in one way or another. Today I am doing a interview with Shod Harris the Director of Marketing and Promotions for Mic Fiend Music. Shod has toured many places throughout the area promoting his artists. Many people like Shod have gone against the grain and have chosen to put their hand to using their talents to making money outside of the traditional job.
